Finally (A trip to DASAland)
Finally...
The last 2 weeks at Imperial College were a total blast. They were the most tense days I had to go through in terms of the completion of the project. They were some of the most awesome days I ever had.
It is indeed surprising to find all girls around you in the neighbouring rooms. American, Chinese, European....and many others. We all became friends instantly, indeed true, considering that I had a going away barbecue because I would leave them soon. Then, there was this club night, right in the middle of Piccadilly Circus, BAR RUMBA. 4-5 hours of continuous dancing to live HipHop music and as usual, I went ballistic, inspite of the fact that I can be the worst dancer in the entire world.
The experiments were done, although some of the results were not completely positive. A paper is left in the middle. The report was completed with much efforts and the presentation was awesome. Finally, I managed to impress everybody. The last day was filled with mixed emotions. I was sad to leave this city that had taken me into its stride. I saw myself for the first time in this red-brick city. I wanted to stay on and immerse completely in its magic, but it was time to go. At the same time, I was upbeat to go back to India, my home, to my parents, to my friends and all the people I know. I had so much to share and tell people. It was at this time, that I decided to become a bit comtemptuous and tell people everything, from HOT GIRLS everywhere to free laptops.
In fact, on my way home, I had a 5 day stop converted finally to 6 days thanks to the incessant rain in Mumbai cancelling my scheduled flight (People have been through hell in these rains). The stay in Abu Dhabi and Dubai was memorable in a large way due to the belly dancing and all the malls that I saw. The belly dancer was indescribable. Considering the fact that she called me thrice to dance with her, I can say that my trip to UAE was very good...:P. Although some people are cursing me and sneering, coz, I keep talking about her everytime, whenever someone asks me about my trip. The desert safari was amazing mainly, because I was in a desert for the first time. (Yeah...Yeah...I have never been to the Rajasthan desert) I even bought this amazing Creative Mp3 player, (60 GB!!!!) Arabic girls are Hot, Hotter and hottest....please believe me. the burkha is all just a misleader. The landing at Mumbai airport was excessively rough with people appluading after the plane came to
complete halt...:-D
I will miss Aman (wouldn't have had fun without you) Yann (thanks for the wine!), Guillem (thanks for being the cool roomie), Kurosch (thanks for the laptop), Megan, Barbara, Lin, Hunter, Anna and all the people who moved in 4 days before I was to leave.
I wish I could go back and meet them again....:-(
I dont want to end this blog on a sad note, but a happy ending wouldn't be appropriate either.
My English (as well as Arabic journey) has come to an end.
I want to make a sequel.
I hope I get the chance to do that.
